| Job Duties: | Serves meals to customers in compliance with prescribed rules of etiquette for fine dining. Prepares tables and side tables for meals. Set tables. Ensure cleanliness of linens, silverware, and dishes. Greets guests and seats them at tables. Present menus to guests and suggests dinner courses and appropriate wines, and answer questions regarding food preparation. Write customers’ orders on checks or memorizes them. Relays customers’ orders to the kitchen. Serve courses from the kitchen and service bar. Garnishes and decorates dishes prior to serving them. Serves customers from chafing dish at table. Observes customers to respond to any additional requests and to determine when customers have finished the meal. Clears table of dishes, silverware and glassware when customers have finished eating and drinking. Removes soiled linens and resets table after customers leave. Total bills, accepts payment, and returns customers’ change, or refers customers to Cashier. Cleans dining area (wipe and straightens tables and side tables; dusts ceiling and air ducts; wipes window panes, sills, tables, chairs, displays and other furniture; cleans floor). Regular attendance is required for the position, and perform other related duties as assigned. |
