Job Title: Cook
Job Duties: Accepts orders, prepares and cooks food according to customers’ specifications or menu. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations. Check the quantity and quality of received products. Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation. Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and helpers engaged in food preparation. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards. Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays. Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of work area and other duties as needed.

Qualification Requirements: • Possesses a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent certificate preferable • Atleast 1 year experience in related field • Can work in a fast paced changing work environment • Can work effectively with others • With good communication and presentation skills • Must be Hardworking and Flexible
