Job Title: | Cake Decorator |
Job Duties: | Bakes, decorate cakes and pastries with designs using icing bag or handmade paper cone. Check daily job orders on schedule box. Entertain walk-in and telephone customers for specific designs. Take orders from customers and ensure accurate orders are written on invoice. Ensure that orders from job order calls or invoices are verified and accurately understood before making producing. Communicate with the production department, supervisors and other departments for orders to be made and to be shipped. Pack and label finished product items. Does inventory of items and request make requisition for items or ingredients needed. Delivers and sets up wedding cakes and other occasional orders in customer reception. Trims uneven surface of cake, cuts, and shapes cake to required size using knife. Spreads fillings and icings between layers and on the surface of cake using spatula. Tints white icing with food coloring. Inserts die of specific design into tip bag or paper cone and fills bag or cone with colored icing. Squeezes bag to eject while moving bag with free-arm writing motions to form design on cake. Forms decorations on flower ail and transfers decorations to cake, using spatula. Mixes icing, create specific decorative designs on cakes, cookies and pastries and other assigned task as needed. |

Qualification Requirements: | • Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Art/Design/Creative or equivalent. • Employees in these occupations need anywhere from a few months to one year of working with experienced employees. A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations. of working experience in the related field is required for this position. • Must have knowledge in baking • Must be hard working, creative and dependable • Can work with minimum supervision and can work effectively with others • With good communication skills and can work in a fast paced work environment |
