Job Duties: | Responsible for the service, maintenance and upkeep of the fleet of trucks. Performing scheduled checks on all of the transport trailer vehicles. Ensuring regular servicing and maintenance of all trucks of the establishment. Maintaining a service and maintenance record of all vehicles. Ensuring the appropriate usage and handling of testing tools and repair equipment. Test driving vehicles to ensure that they are functioning appropriately. Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles. |

Qualification Requirements: | 2-4 year work experienced. Maintains appropriate staffing levels of Delivery Route Truck Drivers and support personnel in order to ensure daily distributions are delivered. Ability to work overtime or night shifts and be a part of the on-call rotation. Maintains fuel logs and places orders when necessary. Observes safety and security procedures. Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines. Reports potentially unsafe conditions. Uses equipment and materials properly. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Works well in group problem solving situations. Responsible for the inspection, accountability, and physical maintenance of Fleet trucks and related equipment. Overseeing shipment coordination and routing. Responsible for staying current with various regulations such as employee safety, freight classifications, replacement of shipping equipment and vehicles. All other duties as assigned. |
