Job Title: | Electrical/Mechanical Technician |
Job Duties: | Install, maintain, repair, and adjust pumps, motors, diesel engines, generators. Perform periodic inspections of equipment to detect and correct leakage, faulty and malfunction of equipment such as meters and gauges, voltage regulators, and other equipment. Inspects electrical wiring, switches and controls for safe operating conditions. Performs other related duties that may be assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | ER Preference: Knowledgeable of OSHA and EPA rules and regulations. Must be reliable and self-motivated. Must be willing to be available 24/7 for emergency call outs. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum 1-2 years experience with electrical equipment, diesel engines and generator trouble shooting and repair. Knowledge of email, and Microsoft products to include Excel and Word. O-Net: Title Job Zone Three: Medium Preparation Needed Overall Experience Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training, and often must have passed a licensing exam, in order to perform the job. Job Training Employees in these occupations usually need one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.These occupations usually involve using communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals. Examples include electricians, forest and conservation technicians, legal secretaries, interviewers, and insurance sales agents.
