Job Title: Airport Service Agent (Aircraft)
Job Duties: Clean interiors and exteriors of airplanes: Typical interior cleaning tasks: Clean interior of vehicle, using broom, cleaning cloth, mops, whisk broom, vacuum cleaner, special shampooing equipment, standard cleaning compounds, and special chemicals to remove stains. Clean and polish windows with water, cleansing compounds, and cloth or chamois. Replenishes sanitary supplies in vehicle compartments, lavatory supplies, magazines, and other passengers’ conveniences. Notify supervisor of any damaged seats or other equipment needing repair or replacement. May fumigate interior of vehicle, using fumigating gases or sprays. Typical exterior cleaning tasks: Use special cleaning agents to clean and polish exterior surfaces of aircraft, to remove exhaust stains, to clean the interior belly and nacelle areas, to clean wheel wells and flap wells. Remove dust, grease, and oil from exterior surfaces of vehicles, using steam-cleaning equipment, or by spraying or washing vehicles, using spraying equipment, brush or sponge. Check for damaged or corroded areas and informs supervisor of findings. Adjust cleaning equipment to insure proper mixture, temperature, and pressure. Maintain own equipment clean work area. Use equipment such as ladder, sprayer, mop, and broom. May clean and polish components, which have been removed for repair, or may clean ground support and ramp equipment. Inspect parts, equipment, and vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations. Scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts, equipment, or vehicles, using scrapers, brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid, abrasives, vacuums, and hoses. Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas. Rinse objects and place them on drying racks; or use cloth, squeegees, or air compressors to dry surfaces. Turn valves or handles on equipment in order to regulate pressure and flow of water, air, steam, or abrasives from sprayer nozzles. Use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Regularly drive airport van and garbage carts. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Perform other related duties as required or as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Must have at least 6 months related experience. High School Diploma, GED certificate or equivalent. Must have a valid CNMI Driver’s License and a reliable means of transportation. Must be able to routinely move equipment and/or items up to 50 pounds and work well under time pressure. Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, irregular or early morning and late night shifts. Must be able to regularly ascend/descend stairs to service airplanes. Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended time. Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment. Must be able to pass an initial drug/alcohol test/background check and be able to obtain airport security clearance. KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of relevant equipment, employment policies and work procedures. Knowledge in the uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs and disposal methods. SKILLS: Controlling operations of equipment or systems. Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. ABILITIES: The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions. The ability to quickly move or coordinate limbs to manipulate, or assemble objects. The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules. Full Time
