| Job Duties: | Perform before live audiences. Entertain guests and interact with them. Choose music to suit audience taste and the venue’s music policy. Assess the acoustics of the performance area. Assemble and operate the necessary equipment. Consult with producers and performers to determine the sound requirements. Select, position, adjust, and operate the equipment used for amplification and recording. Apply technical knowledge of sound recording equipment to achieve the determined artistic objectives. Monitor audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions. Anticipate and correct any problems; Maintain and repair sound equipment. Provide other entertainment support or performance related activities as required. Work with other musicians, the public and management to ensure a high quality experience. Rehearse, practice and learn new music alone and in groups. Perform songs within a designated genre in front of an audience. Memorization: The ability to remember information such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures. Coordinate logistics for productions or events. Practice athletic or artistic skills |
