| Job Duties: | Repairs and maintains diesel engines use to power machines such as heavy equipment, trucks and other vehicle of the establishment. Diagnoses trouble, disassembles engines, and examines parts for defects and excessive wear. Reconditions and replaces parts, such as bearings, gears, valves and bushings, using hand tools, and other engine instruments. |

| Qualification Requirements: | 3-4 year work experience. Inspecting the engines and detecting malfunctions. Routine servicing and overhauling of all diesel engines. Replacing engine parts and appropriately assembling. Maintaining records of servicing and engine repairs. Checking electrical systems and transmission parts and ensuring the smooth functions. Maintaining inventory of spare parts and placing necessary orders. Ensuring the proper handling of all testing and repair tools. Conduct test drives before and after repairs. Use diagnostic equipment to help locate any problems. Perform maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubes and battery changes. Check tire alignment and adjust as necessary. Replace or repair parts as needed. |
