Job Duties: | SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Shop and Ship Supervisors is responsible for installation, repair and fabrication of materials out of metal. • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Maintains welds on various items using a variety of processes. • Installs various items (e.g. backboards, serving lines, railings, gates, furniture, tools, parts electric motorized gates, sheetmetal, etc.) for the purpose of completing projects safely and within established time frames. • Cleans and degreases parts to be welded using wire brushes, grinders or solvents. • Sets up, adjust and operates such welding equipment as electric arc welders, gas shielded arc welders and gas welders. Selects proper electrodes, gas orifices, filter ords, and/or torch tips based on type of material being welded and desired bead size and penetration. • Requisition materials and tools required in the work and inspect them upon receipt for conformance to inspections. • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment used in the work. • Completes all necessary documentation in a neat and timely manner. • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. • Perform other duties as required. • Follow defined Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures. |

Qualification Requirements: | • High School Diploma or Trade School. • Minimum of 1-2 years experience is preferred. • Must be able to operate electric hand tools. • 5G-6G, TIG, MIG or SMAW certified. • Confined Space Entry Safety Training certified. |
