Job Title: | Maintenance Supervisor |
Job Duties: | Supervises and coordinates activities of employees. Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel. Monitor employee's work levels and review work performance. Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions. Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare reports of findings. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Compile operational and personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results. Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures. Counsel employee's about work-related issues and assist employee's to correct job-skill deficiencies. Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs. Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques operational procedures, or equipment use. Perform other related duties as assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have college education plus 1-2 years or more of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training in maintenance area. Must also have good supervisory skill. Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers. These occupations usually involve using communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals. Most occupations in this zone require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree. Some may require a bachelor's degree. |
