Job Title: Room Reservations Manager
Job Duties: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of Reservations personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems. Resolve customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedures. Handle all daily reservation requests with other reservation assistants. Ensures that all areas under his/her responsibility are running efficiently and in accordance with the set standards of the Hotel. Fully knowledgeable in taking requests from guests. Make sure that all reservations are keyed in and coded properly. Ensures that all reservations received for the hotel are noted and prepared prior to the arrival of the guest; with all prior requirements arranged with respective departments. Make sure that all calls and emails are responded to. Develop and maintain positive business relationship with all operators. Ensures efficient room inventory management. Make sure that revenue in rooms is maximized. Ensures that all reservations staff is aware of the yield management strategies of the hotel. Controls room availability for all hotel reservations. Provide necessary records as needed. Accomplishes performance evaluation for Room Reservations staff. Monitors staff schedules, especially for holidays and overtime, based on the approved guidelines from the division head.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: College or university Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management; minimum of two years related experience as Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeping Manager or Sales Manager in a hotel. Comprehensive knowledge of business need, financial reporting and productivity requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office Program and Property Management System. Must be able to work variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
