Job Title: Doorperson
Job Duties: • Greet arriving guests/visitors; bid farewell to departing guests/visitors and invite them to return • Assist with heavy packages, coats, suitcases, etc. and endorse them to the Bellperson • Welcome guests at any of the hotel entrances, offering the greeting appropriate to the time of day taking note of VIP and repeat guests • Open hotel doors for guests/visitors • Assist arriving and departing guests by opening and closing vehicle and taxi doors • Transport guest luggage from the hotel entrance area to the designated Bell area • Maintain a clean porte-cochere and driveway • Give instructions and directions to taxi drivers as per guest request • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately • Coordinate with Security personnel in maintaining orderly traffic in front of the hotel and the immediate vicinity • Use the names of the guests, especially repeat and long staying guests and routinely greet guests as they pass through the doors, remaining alert to situations where he can be of assistance to the guests • Keep the driveway clean and tidy, informing the Bell Captain if it needs major cleaning • Coordinate with Bell Service and/or Concierge should there be a need to assist guests with their luggage or transportation requirements • Handle problems with guests and refer to superior if he/she is unable to assist and resolve • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues to the superior • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements: • Previous relevant experience is an advantage, preferably with a 5 star hotel • High School graduate or above • Physical mobility and stamina • Responsible, self-motivated and independent • Outgoing and approachable; good communication and interpersonal skills • Able to work on flexible shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays on rotation basis • Fluent in English • Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage • Ability to multi-task
