| Job Duties: | Install, service, test and repair electronic equipment or instruments such as televisions, radios, dvd/blu ray players, microwave, oven, amplifiers, rice cookers, magic sing, PS3, PS4,Digital Cameras, iPod and mp3 players that produce deposited carbon resistor for use in electronic equipment. Disassemble equipment and repairs or replace loose, worn or defective components by rewiring, soldering loose connections and replacing parts such as coils, condensers, tubes and resistors using hand tools and soldering irons. Calibrate and test equipment, and locate circuit and component faults, using hand and power tools and measuring and testing instruments such as resistance meters and oscilloscopes. Tune or adjust equipment and instruments to obtain optimum visual or auditory reception, according to specifications, manuals, and drawings. Must have knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Instruct customers on the safe and proper use of equipment. Read and interpret electronic circuit diagrams, function block diagrams, specifications, engineering drawings, and service manuals. To do other related duties as may be assigned. |
