Job Title: Dietitian
Job Duties: Provides comprehensive nutritional evaluation and counseling services for dialysis patients and staff. Provides goal oriented intervention directed toward management of ESRD disease by education of the patient in renal diet and fluid intake management. Maintains a close working relationship with the multi-disciplinary ESRD team of dialysis in planning for patient care and attends departmental staff meetings. Attends facility in-services, meetings and provides educational program as requested. Documents all tasks thoroughly in patient’s medical records to maintain dietary records and statistics. Establishes yearly goals with Medical Director/Unit Manager in relations to specialty program/service. Assists with planning and monitoring of patient outcome, in-service training and overall development of program/service. Assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of dietary policies and procedures. Initiates and or participates in patient education and treatment programs, such as developing dietary educational materials. Participates in professional and other community organizations and activities service clientele. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Holds a baccalaureate or advance degree in food and nutrition or dietetics Has at least one year experience in clinical nutrition Good interpersonal/communication skills Must comply with the law and regulations of the state dietary or nutritional licensing body.
