Job Title: Assistant Vice President - F&B Operations and Project Development
Job Duties: • Coordinate Projects on construction, working with Operations on packing, branding, production position which will see the transition to operations to drive the concept upon completion. • Facilitate F&B product developments. • Make recommendations (Concept testing, Product screening and Benchmarking). • Update knowledge of market and brands. • Develop Operating Briefs and coordination with project. • Leverage and Liaison with F&B opening team. • Track & monitor project development. • Transition business development to operations with Imperial Pacific Resort run entities. • Maximize food and beverage sales by identifying and targeting sales opportunities through marketing including promotions and special events. • Lead through communication, administration and financial controls resulting in the provision of exceptional food quality, service and experiences at targeted profit levels. • Provide leadership and direction in developing the department’s budget, short and long-term objectives and strategic business plan. • Ensure excellence of food and beverage services by overseeing all aspects of multi-unit food service, dining and catering operations. • Assist in developing budgets, forecast, purchase specifications, operating equipment needs, develop menus, food production control, job descriptions and other department criteria and standards. • Analyze expenditure & revenue and also develop profit and loss statements accordingly for management. • Manage all food and beverage staff by recruiting, selecting, hiring, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, evaluating, supervising performance and carrying out disciplinary action as needed, in accordance with policies and applicable laws. • Ensure a pleasant dining experience in all outlets by collaborating with the Executive Chef in the creation of menus and menu pricing. • Ensure that the staff follows standard operating procedures for operational efficiency. • Conduct team meetings to discuss ongoing issues and recommendations. • Educate staff on policies and procedures for department safety and sanitation program based on department guidelines. • Investigate accidents and breakages within the department and recommend corrective actions. • Establish and enforce a standard for food and beverage quality. • Implement marketing strategies to increase sales and profitability. • Initiate and implement training of supervisors and hourly staff designed to provide the highest levels of proficiency, efficiency, and confidence in the delivery of service to guests. • Analyze guests’ concerns and recommend corrective actions. • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. • Implement operational strategies to ensure quality and productivity. • Assist in inventory management and cost control activities while maintaining high quality. • Interact with internal staff and external guests from Asian and international countries. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: • Must have at least 1 year of College or Associates Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or Communications or equivalent working experience. • Mush have 5 years of experience in restaurant manager or above positions in well-known property or Hotel industry. • Mush have 2 years of experience in manager or above positions in a five (5) star hotel environment or well-known property. • Must have F&B pre-opening experience. • Clear understanding of the protocols of market trends. • Good Business Acumen. • Familiar with the procedure for developing or launching the VIP events. • Experience in serving or handling VIP events. • Good presentation skills. • Multi lingual to converse with joint venture and franchisee operators in English and Mandarin. • Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress reports to be able to assist in the financial management department. • Exceptional interpersonal and guest relation skills. • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin, knowledge of Cantonese, Japanese and Korean is an advantage. • Excellent leadership, management and supervisory abilities. • Customer service oriented, and excellent communicator. • Self-motivated, organized, confident, friendly and polite. • Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high pressure work environment. • Ability to operate Microsoft Windows & Office software. • Able to work on flexible shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays on a rotation basis. • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and maintain high standard of service. • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels. • Must be able to multi-task.
