Job Title: | Front Desk Supervisor |
Job Duties: | Supervise and oversee the front desk clerks assigned to greeting and checking guests into the hotel. Resolves customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedures. Supervises the work of Clerks to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems. Provides guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes. Implements corporate or departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management. Openly communicates job performance problems to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems. Trains or instructs employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided. Evaluates job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate action as needed. Reviews, records or reports activities such as production, payroll, or shipping to verify details, monitor work activities, or evaluate performance. Recruits, interviews, and recommends hiring to the Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager. Interprets and communicates work procedures and company policies to staff. Monitors cash transactions. Prepares schedules of clerks. Establishes room assignments and assists guests in total check-in, including computer entries. Performs other related duties as assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | Minimum of two (2) years previous experience as a Front Desk Supervisor is required. Must be resourceful, take ownership of problems and issues that arise and have excellent problem-solving skills. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and to lead a team. In addition to managing the daily operations at the desk, must have the ability to provide the Front Desk Clerks with necessary training and support. Fluency in Korean, Japanese or Russian is preferred. Must be knowledgeable on Property Management System (PMS) – Opera. Must be able to work graveyard shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays. |
