Job Duties: The General Manager directs all activities of export, import, and intermodal in an efficient manner for the desired quality and quantity of work, successful completion of relevant work processes, attention to KPI’s all with the aim of providing excellence in service to Principal and internal/external customers.

Qualification Requirements: • High school diploma required, Bachelor Degree is highly preferred. • 8-10 years of experience in the transportation industry. • Valid proof of prior management experience is required. • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. • Strong understanding of transportation industry and in particular, international shipment cost drivers. • Must be able to relate with individuals at all levels of an organization. • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation. • Organizational and time management skills - multi-tasking and prioritizing, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and high level goals. • Good Influencing, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation skills. • Drive for Results – Drives for results and success, conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition. • Team player – Works together with others in the business unit to achieve results, fosters teamwork. • Customer / Solutions focused. • Proven ability to deliver even under pressure, especially under tight time constraints. • Working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to quickly adapt to software. • Background in Finance a plus.
