Job Title: Assistant Vice President – Engineering & Projects
Job Duties:  Manage, direct and assist in the overall planning, direction and coordination of engineering and projects.  Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture of engineering projects.  Direct, review, or approve project design changes.  Confer with management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.  Present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to government and public.  Consult or negotiate with government and public to prepare project specifications.  Review, recommend, or approve contracts or cost estimates.  Plan or direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, or repair of facilities or equipment.  Solicit project support by conferring with officials or providing information to the public.  Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, government and public for developing implementation and measurement plans of special projects.  Process oversight ranging from minor items to major projects.  Perform administrative functions, such as reviewing or writing reports, approving expenditures, or enforcing rules.  Evaluate the environmental impacts of engineering, architecture, or research and development activities with coordinating with government and public.  Evaluate environmental regulations or social pressures related to environmental issues to inform strategic or operational decision-making.  Manage budget, progress and effectiveness of all works.  Lead the team to handle all projects/maintenance relative works including manpower resources allocation & management.  Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.  Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.  Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.  Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.  Provide professional support and technical advice to the team for any potential and/or assigned projects  Evaluate the environmental impacts of engineering, architecture, or research and development activities.  Perform and complete other tasks as assigned by the Management in a timely manner.

Qualification Requirements:  Master Degree or above in Engineering or related discipline  2 to 5 years of experience in a facilities management firm  1 year pre-opening experience in a casino hotel/resort  Professional Qualification would be an added advantage  Good interpersonal and Communication skills  Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics  Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position  Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures  Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly  Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written  Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time  May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours Schedules may vary based on business need  Must be able to work independently or with a team  Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), database, PowerPoint, presentation and organizational/project planning software applications and Interaction  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents  Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken)  Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services  Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models  Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming  Knowledge or relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, date, property, and institutions
