Job Title: Guest Relation (Chinese Marketing)
Job Duties: Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of hotels or motels. Verify customers' credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation. Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems. Make and confirm reservations. Issue room keys and escort instructions to bellhops. Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers. Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits. Post charges, such those for rooms, food, liquor, or telephone calls, to ledgers manually or by using computers. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests. Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary. Transport customers as necessary. Special language skills for customer service. Receive and make reservations for optional tours from Chinese Market. Communicate with Chinese Agents vendors regarding optional tours. Explain to Chinese guests about optional tours available. Sell company optional activities to the Chinese Market and agents. Advertise and promote such activities.

Qualification Requirements: Minimum 1-2 yrs work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Chinese. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. . Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. High energy level and positive approach to job and group responsibilities. Able to work overtime hours when necessary. Proficient with handling a Point of Sale system. Must have good communication skills. Ability to work and communicate well with others with different nationalities. Must have computer skills in MS Word and Excel. Ability to solve guest related concerns and must be able to handle customer complaints both professionally and efficiency. Must be able to work flexible hours including early morning, night, and grave yard shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift around 25-30 lbs. of weight when needed while assisting the guest(s).
