Job Title: | Field Service Engineer |
Job Duties: | Performs on site in an on-call capacity. Installs, repairs, and maintains telecommunications equipment. Ensures equipment runs at optimal levels and performs routine repairs and maintenance. Documents all meetings, surveys, inspections and servicing as requested. Installs and programs business phone systems or hotel/motel PBX such as analog phones, digital phones, operator console, IP phones and mobile phones as hotel terminals. Installs and encodes conference phones, paging systems, wireless headsets and surveillance camera system. Performs cable wiring installations for computer networks, fax, modem and router. Supervises other telephone technicians. Performs other related duties as requested. |

Qualification Requirements: | Qualification Requirements: Associate’s degree is preferred in an area of specialty and 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must have an excellent understanding in electrical power to know the difference between (AC) (alternating current) and (DC) (direct current), and cable management to determine between VGA (video graphic adapter), HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) and DVI (digital visual interface). Knowledgeable to make a distinction between analog and digital technologies. Skilled to interpret electrical schematics, telecommunication graphics, charts or manuals. Must have good writing skills and training skills. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Perform the functions of the job independently. Supervise other telephone technicians. |
