Job Duties: | Assesses and decides if applications for insurance cover (risks) should be accepted and if so, what terms of that acceptance are. Writing insurance policies and keeping detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made. Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of the insurance company. Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage. Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to analyze insurance program and suggest additions or changes, or to change beneficiaries. Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients. Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled and the completion of appropriate forms. Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks. Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies. Calculate premiums and establish payment method. Inspect property, examining its general condition and other characteristics, to decide if it is a good insurance risk. Assist clients on their insurance claims. Oversees and manages all office procedures and other tasks as assigned to her. |

Qualification Requirements: | College graduate. At least 4 years of work experience in an insurance company or related business activity. Proficient in oral and written communications is also required. Preferably with legal background. Knowledgeable on the use of computer softwares such as MS office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Peachtree Accounting etc. |
