| Job Title: | INSURANCE UNDERWRITER |
| Job Duties: | Responsible in reviewing insurance applications of customers for insurance policies Property, Casualty, Worker Compensation, Auto and Accident Insurance for commercial and personal lines and evaluates the degree of risk involved and suggest recommendations or rejections of such applicants. Sign insurance contracts / policy, policy endorsements and bonds. Monitor industry trend in the market to keep current with regulations, and market position. Monitor underwriting processes, procedures, and output to guarantee exceptional service. Develop and recommend policies and procedures for the department, including underwriting aides, tools, and other forms of documentation / communication to maintain consistency and efficiency throughout the underwriting process. Examine insurance applications to determine degree of risk and appropriate premiums from such factors as applicant financial standing, condition and value of the property. Recommending declining an application if the proposed insurance cannot be underwritten as acceptable risk or does not meet underwriting and treaty guidelines. Assist agents and brokers in responding to questions about the proposed coverage and rates their customers. Conduct risk inspections, risk analysis and made recommendations to reduce or control risks involved Negotiate terms and conditions with policy holders, insurance brokers and agents. Acquire reinsurance support / facultative placements for risk exceeds the company retention limit. Entertain / answers inquiries of clients, brokers, and agents concerning their insurance policies. Prepare insurance quotation for direct clients, insurance agents and brokers. Visit insurance broker and prospective clients. Write policies and various reports |
