Job Duties: | Support infants , toddlers, and preschool children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others, positive self-concepts, respectfulness and courteousness. Performs a variety of tasks, such as teaching dressing, feeding, and overseeing children at their learning and playing environment. Welcome children and parents/guardians during arrival and departure. Communicate with Parents/Guardians about children's behavior, food intake, daily activities, diapering, etc. Maintain safe environment. Teaches, facilitates, and monitor children's play and learning activities based on approved lesson plan. Teaches children using a mixture of Creative curriculum and traditional approach of learning. Attend children's basic needs, such as feeding, dressing, sleeping, and diapering. Keeps records of individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, feeding, diapering, medication if any. Takes children to their outdoor activities, twice a day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Follows health and safety procedures both indoor and outdoor. Organizes and leads activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips. Implements or instructs children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, toilet habits, etc. Helps identify signs of emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts. Sanitizes toys and play equipment. Performs other related duties as deemed necessary. |

Qualification Requirements: | Preferably an associate degree, or two years college in Education or other related field. Must have at least two years progressive teaching. Meets the state and local licensing requirements and can be included in the teacher-child ratio. Meets at least 30 hours training requirements from Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Program. Must have the following certifications: CPR for Infant/Child, Food Handler, Police Clearance, and SORNA Clearance. Applicant must be of good moral character, good work ethics, reliable, stress tolerant, and can work flexible hours. |
