Job Title: Submarine Hyperbaric Mechanical Technician
Job Duties: Works in conjunction with pressure vessels for human occupancy. (Submarine). Installs and maintains mechanical equipment aboard submersibles according to blue prints or other directives. . Experienced in design, operate and maintain ASME/ PVHO vessels Relate to systems designed utilizing greater than normal pressures. Repairs steel, wood and fiberglass and fiberglass boats according to blueprints Confers with customer or supervisory personnel and reads blueprints to determine repairs needed and plan sequence of operations. Examines boat to determine location and extent of defect. Cuts out defective area, using power saw, drills, and hand tools. Measures and records dimensions of defective area and lays out dimension lines and reference points on materials, to fabricate repair parts. Positions and fits repair part in boat and secures part to boat, using caulking gun, adhesive, or carpenter's hand tools. Cuts fiberglass material to specified size and patches defective surfaces. Smoothes repaired surfaces, using power sander. Installs fittings and equipment according to customer specifications, using hand tools and portable power tools. Hand brushes or sprays paint or other finishing solution on repaired areas and waxes and buffs area to specified finish. To perform such other duties as may be assigned and related to the general maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and operations of Pacific Subsea.
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: At least five (5) years experience required. Completed manufactures training program in accordance with prevailing rules for classed submersible and support vessels and ships. Experienced in design, operate, and maintain ASME/PVHO vessels. Relate to systems designed utilizing greater than normal pressure. Applicants must be physically able to perform efficiently the duties of the position at sea and ashore. Applicant with flexible working schedule: day and night shift, weekend and holidays. Schedule is at the discretion of the Manager. Applicant must substantiate through documentation proof of specialized training and experience

Comments: Pacific Subsea Saipan Inc. operates 4 passenger vessels including one tourist submersible engaged in tourism. All vessels are operated according to federal regulations (CFR) for passenger vessels. In order to qualify for the positions all applicants will be required to submit to pre-employment drug testing and enter into a ongoing drug testing program, additionally applicants possesses CPR and basic first aid certification complying with DOT/USCG as required per 46CFR.
