Job Title: Auto Body Repair
Job Duties: 1.Repair and refinish automotive vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames. 2.Follow supervisors' instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the job should take 3.Review damage reports, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan work to be performed. 4.Sand body areas to be painted and cover bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from the paint 5.Fit and weld replacement parts into place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grind down welds to smooth them, using power grinders and other tools. 6.Prime and paint repaired surfaces, using paint sprayguns and motorized sanders 7.Read specifications or confer with customers to determine the desired custom modifications for altering the appearance of vehicles. 8.Inspect repaired vehicles for proper functioning, completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job, and test drive vehicles to ensure proper alignment and handling. 9.Cut openings in vehicle bodies for the installation of customized windows, using templates and power shears or chisels. 10.Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle bodies and fenders
Qualification Requirements: 1.Require a high school diploma. 2.Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is usually needed 3.Require few months to one year of working of experienced 4.Knowledge in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. 5.Has ability & knowledge in controlling operations of equipment or systems. 6.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 7.Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. 8.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. 9.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. 10.The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
