| Job Duties: | • Maintains open/free flow communication and seeks approval from Store Manager on decisions that will affect merchandising activities on PO, TO, item lows and outs • Buys merchandise or commodities for resale to consumers at the wholesale or retail level, including both durable or non-durable goods • Analyzes past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield including product pricing and consumer buying and product trends • Creates a merchandise master plan in coordination with company Principals, Distribution Center Asst. Manager, and Store Manager(s) • Communicates with multiple local and off-island merchandise suppliers for best price, product selections, product trending, and delivery including shipping arrangements to port of entry • Works closely with Distribution Center Asst. Manager and Store Manager(s) to push down/out the right merchandise to the stores for increased sales • Selects, orders, and works closely with company accounting team for buying payment authorizations according to buyer/supplier contractual agreement(s) • Attends meetings with other company management principals and other retail buyers under different product lines and suppliers • Conducts physical and electronic monitoring of assigned store merchandise inventories to ensure Distribution Center and store stocks are well supplied • Maintains good physical and electronic documentation on all activities related to the store’s merchandising and timely buying activities • May conduct meetings with store sales associates and other company buyers on current product lines or new product lines • Monitors expired/damaged items physically and electronically on company’s automated inventory system • Performs other related duties as assigned |

| Qualification Requirements: | Applicant must have 2 to 4 plus years of retail buyer experience. Have a strong command and understanding of product buying, marketing, promotions, and advertising. Must be computer literate and experienced in the retail industry inventory system Dynamic AX. Applicant will be dealing with numerous suppliers therefore the applicant must have a good command of the English language in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension for business environment. Multi-lingual applicant is preferred with Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian speaking language skills. Applicant must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. |
