Job Title: Engraver
Job Duties: * Prepare layout based on client requirement. Must have basic knowledge designing graphics in Coreldraw 12. * Adjust depths and sizes of cuts by adjusting heights of workable or by adjusting machine arm gauges. * Engrave and print patterns, designs, etching or letterings onto flat or curved surface of a wide variety of metal, glass, plastic, acrylic, wood, granite, crystal or paper items using laser engraving machine, sandblasting machine, sublimation printer, hand tools on hand-held power tools. * Determine machine settings depending on materials used and it's thickness, and move bars or levels to produce designs on plates. * Examine engraving for quality of cut, burrs, rough spots, and regular or incomplete engraving. Examine finished engraved product to ensure accuracy with approved layout. * Clean and Polish engraved areas and assemble awards including its packaging. * Maintain and trouble shoot laser machine, sandblasting machine, sublimation printer and other related equipment. * Examine sketches, diagrams samples, blueprints, photographs to decide how designs are to be etched, cut or engraved onto work pieces. * Brush or wipe acid over engraving to darken or highlight inscriptions. * Carve designs and letters onto metal for transfer to other surfaces. * Cut outlines of impressions with gravers, and remove excess material with knives. * Answer the telephone calls. * Communicate with employees and customers to answer questions disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints. * Compile copy, sort and file records of office activities business transactions and other activities. * Review files, records and other documents to obtain information to respond client request. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements: Must have a minimum experience of (2) years in engraving or etching metal, plastic, acrylic, wood , rubber, granite, crystal and other materials. Must have knowledge in operating a laser Engraving Machine and Cutting System. Must have knowledge in operating Heat Press and a Sandblasting Machine. Must have basic knowledge in design Techniques in CORELDRAW 12 for use in the engraving process. Must possess good communication skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours and be able to work under time pressure to ensure timely completion of projects. Applicants must be of good character, possess good ethics, reliable, and stress tolerant and be able to work flexible hours.
