Job Title: IT Support - Service Desk
Job Duties: • Answer all calls assigned to the duty position in a prompt and courteous manner and attempt to diagnose and resolve problem immediately. • Escalate problem cases that could not be resolved at call time to other supporting teams in Business solutions, Technical and Support Services. • Ensure all user support calls and service requests are handled or escalated in a timely manner. • Use the Help Desk log to track progress of resolution of all problem cases until the originating party acknowledges closure. • Update the calling user Department from time to time with latest status of problem resolution in progress. • Perform tasks under the direction of Manager, IT Technical Support

Qualification Requirements: Education and Work Experience: o Associate’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or more than three (3) years experience in hotline/service desk or customer service. Certification: o Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: o Good interpersonal and Communication skills. o Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics o Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position o Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures o Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly o Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written o The Company has a 24-hour operation, the employee must be able to work on a rotating shift schedule. o May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. o Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need o Must be able to work independently or with a team o Customer handling and problem solving skills, good telephone manner o Microsoft Office Suite products and personal computer product knowledge. o IT internal processes, policies and procedures. Language Skills: o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken).
