Job Title: Assistant Manager - Infrastructure and Data Center
Job Duties: • Implement and support all aspects of network infrastructure, server, VM, storage and backup solutions with reliable connectivity to support application systems including resilient features for High Availability and Disaster Recovery. • Implement and manage day-to-day data center issues, ELV cabling, network infrastructure, backup facilities, environmental management, network design flow and formation, VM motion/migration and resource allocation, data recovery process and secondary role in server administration. • Implement and support network and server security for the access control and enhance the security level within the server environments including change control policy and security patches implement. • Monitoring and perform action plan to mitigate performance issues on network infrastructure, servers, storage and backup systems on a regular basis. • Perform daily data backup procedure based on data center best practice with customized control in accordance to governing authority (CCC) requirements. • Re-configure and fine-tune server architecture in co-operation with the operation team for optimal cost effective performance. • Provide guideline and procedure on how to support the ongoing operational tasks while serving to the user departments. • Evaluate new infrastructure, server, VM, storage, backup technology and produce relevant reports.
Qualification Requirements: Education: o College Degree holder in Computer Science or Information Technology Related Curriculum a minimum. Work Experience: o Minimum 3 years in server administration or network infrastructure o Sound experience on development and operation infrastructure environment design o Experience in vendor environment with related field is a plus o Experience in infrastructure and data center support is a plus Certification: o Any Business Related or Technology Related certifications a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: o Good interpersonal and Communication skills. o Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics o Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position o Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures o Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly o Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written o Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need o Must be able to work independently or with a team o Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel), database, PowerPoint, presentation. o Extensive knowledge on infrastructure systems, includes but not limited to enterprise data backup infrastructure, data security solution, messaging system and authentication system o Knowledge of IT compliance practices and operational processes is an advantage Language Skills: o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy procedure manuals, and other related documents. Able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Spoken).
