Job Title: Accountant
Job Duties: Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Develop, modify, implement, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Working with spreadsheets, sales & purchase ledgers and journals. Managing petty cash disbursement and reconciliation. Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries. Prepare and file CNMI and Federal taxes including, BGR, EWT, Bar, and FICA taxes. Compute and prepare bi-weekly payrolls, sales, expenses & bank reconciliation and reports. Do correspondence with Gov’t & private agencies. Correct tax deficiencies. Do other duties as assign from time to time
Qualification Requirements: Holder of a bachelor degree in Accountancy with a minimum of 5 years work experience in overall accounting function of a company. Proficient in using Peachtree, QuickBooks, and Microsoft office software. Must be proficient in tax returns preparations of all applicable CNMI and Federal taxes. Certificate from previous employer is required. Willing to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends. Hardworking, can work under less supervision and must be able to meet work deadlines. Valid local driver license and original Police Clearance required.
