Job Duties: Responsible for preparing all food items, based on standardized recipes for the restaurant, room service, employee cafeteria and banquets, while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing products. Must observe and enforce strict requirements with regard to food safety. Duties including sautéing, poaching, baking, grilling and sauce preparation, as well as working with broilers, fryers, grills, ovens and stove-top-cooking. Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio. Responsible for preparing western, classic Japanese and Chinese method and other menu while providing an entertaining experience to the presentation of the meal thru guest interaction and skills with various cooking utensils and pieces of equipment
High School Diploma Required? Undetermined
Qualification Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Have at least 6 months to 1 years of cooking traditional Western, Chinese and Japanese cuisine in a hotel. Having experience in a luxury hotel restaurant is preferred. Must be familiar or knowledgeable of food hygiene regulations (HACC) and have a food handler’s certification card. Be able and willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evenings, weekend and holidays. Be able to stand for prolonged period of time and must possess a friendly, integrity and good manner
