Job Title: Chief Accountant
Job Duties: 1) Functions as the main Contact Person at Town House, Inc. for the Jones & Guerrero Company, Inc. 2) In-charge of overall Accounting functions for Town House, Inc. and its Divisions 3) Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial reports. 4) Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts. 5) Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities and capital and prepares balance sheets profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize current company financial position for submission to the Company’s Corporate Office. 6) Responsible for preparation and submission of Annual Budgets to the Corporate Office. 7) Responsible for preparation and finalizing of Balance Sheet and Nominal Accounts for annual audit by external auditors. 8) Assist in policy formulation that will be the basis for better administration of the company’s resources and services. 9) Works closely with the Executive Vice President in the following: a) Quarterly Review of Financial Statements and Schedules b) Provide Accounting Analysis, Project Reports for Town House, Inc. and its Divisions c) Counter sign Bank Checks relating to operations of Town House, Inc. and its Divisions d) Implement Company Policies and Procedures e) Review and follow up on Company Objectives 10) Supervise and coordinate activities of staff and responsible for initiating training needs, hiring of new employees and implementing HR Policies conveyed by the Corporate Offices. 11) Perform other related tasks as may be assigned by the Executive Vice–President and J & G Corporate Officers
High School Diploma Required? No
Qualification Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Accounting • At least 10 years prior experience as a Chief Accountant and with a thorough understanding of financial reporting including budget preparation and general ledger structure • Must be able to thrive in a fast-pace setting, ability to multi-task, and can work independently • Must be highly computer literate and must have strong experience with automated accounting system like Peachtree, Kronos Payroll System, MS Office Suite. • Must pass pre-employment written accounting examinations • Must have a current CNMI Driver’s License • Police Clearance required
