Job Title: Fisherman
Job Duties: Put fishing equipment into the water and anchor or tow equipment, according to the fishing method used. Maintain engines, fishing gear, and other on-board equipment and perform minor repairs. Sort, pack, and store catch in holds with salt and ice. Remove catches from fishing equipment and measure them to ensure compliance with legal size. Return undesirable or illegal catches to the water. Wash decks, conveyors, knives, and other equipment, using brushes, detergents, and water.

Qualification Requirements: KNOWLEDGE OF TECHNIQUES AND EQUIPMENT FOR PLANTING, GROWING, AND HARVESTING FOOD PRODUCTS (BOTH PLANT AND ANIMAL) FOR CONSUMPTION, INCLUDING STORAGE/HANDLING TECHNIQUES. KNOWLEDGE OF MACHINES AND TOOLS, INCLUDING THEIR DESIGNS, USES, REPAIR, AND MAINTENANCE. KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLES AND METHODS FOR DESCRIBING THE FEATURES OF LAND, SEA, AND AIR MASSES, INCLUDING THEIR PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS, LOCATIONS, INTERRELATIONSHIPS, AND DISTRIBUTION OF PLANT, ANIMAL, AND HUMAN LIFE. KNOWLEDGE OF RAW MATERIALS, PRODUCTION PROCESSES, QUALITY CONTROL, COSTS, AND OTHER TECHNIQUES FOR MAXIMIZING THE EFFECTIVE MANUFACTURE AND DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS. CONTROLLING OPERATIONS OF EQUIPMENT OR SYSTEMS. USING LOGIC AND REASONING TO IDENTIFY THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS, CONCLUSIONS OR APPROACHES TO PROBLEMS. CONSIDERING THE RELATIVE COSTS AND BENEFITS OF POTENTIAL ACTIONS TO CHOOSE THE MOST APPROPRIATE ONE.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
