Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job Duties: Maintain Occupational Safety & Health and company required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective equipment. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Monitor and ensure all shop facilities are functioning properly at all times- Assist and work with Management in general shop activities as directed. Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed. Coordinate with relevant department to carry out site inspections, repair work, renovation work, special event preparation and assist on projects where qualified to do so. Assist Management in ordering and monitoring supplies, including materials for repairs as required. Assist in getting quotes and recommending preferred vendors to DFS management for maintenance works, supplies for repairs and/or supplies etc. Escort and supervise the performance of service providers and outsource contractors adhering to location-specific security requirements and ensuring all work meets DFS specifications including completion timeframes. Inspect Building systems daily. Install, repair, and replace electrical wiring, conduit, outlets, covers, breakers, etc. Repair and maintain lounge equipment such refrigerators and faucets. Maintain and Monitor Deep Well and Injection well. Repair and maintain water treatment equipment - water softeners, cooling tower water treatment, etc. Repair and maintain cooling towers, chilled water and condensing water pumps. Repair and maintain air handlers, Variable Air Volume (VAV), thermostats, zone controls. Repair and maintain ducted split, mini split, and package type air conditioning units. Inspect, monitor and repair & maintenance (R&M) of generator on a daily basis. Monitor Reverse Osmosis (R.O. pH), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and chemical monitoring. Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions. Perform renovation and construction project work. Provide manpower for projects that require heavy lifting / movement. Repair merchandise fixtures. Repair plumping-broken or leaking piping, fixtures, clear plugged drains. Paint interior and exterior of buildings, and parking lots. Repair roofing and elastomeric. Repair walls, floors, ceilings and install doors, cabinets, shelves and locks -Repair sidewalks, planting and landscaping areas. Monitor fire alarm system including fire pump tests. Assist Visual Merchandising with moves and event set-ups (may require forklift or boom lift operations). Oversee Audio and/or Visual system. Oversee Lighting control systems. Perform other duties as requested in a diligent and conscientious manner Occupational Health & Safety - Comply with DFS? Occupational Health & Safety Policy and procedures - Take reasonable care to act and behave in a manner that promotes care and diligence to oneself and others in the workplace. Comply with reasonable instructions from any supervisor or authorized representative of the company concerning health and safety matters. Attend OHS training as required and actively participate in Emergency Response procedures. Participate in identifying, assessing and controlling risks and hazards in the workplace. Report any accident/injury/hazard in the workplace to manager or the site OHS Representative using the DFS? systems and the logbook.
