Job Title: Tour Guide
Job Duties: Describe tour points of interest to group members, and respond to questions. Escort individuals or groups on cruises, sightseeing tours, or through places of interest such as industrial establishments, public buildings, or art galleries. Monitor visitors' activities to ensure compliance with establishment or tour regulations and safety practices. Provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors. Distribute brochures, show audiovisual presentations, and explain establishment processes and operations at tour sites. Select travel routes and sites to be visited based on knowledge of specific areas. Drive motor vehicles to transport visitors to establishments and tour site locations. Collect fees and tickets from group members. Assemble and check the required supplies and equipment prior to departure. Provide for physical safety of groups, performing such activities as providing first aid or directing emergency evacuations. Speak foreign languages to communicate with foreign visitors.

Qualification Requirements: Skilled in the use of various operating systems: Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Knowledge of historical events and their causes, indicators, and effects on civilizations and cultures. Talking to others to convey information effectively. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Actively looking for ways to help people. Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
