Job Title: Electrical and Electronic Equipment Man
Job Duties: Assemble or modify electrical or electronic equipment, such as computers, test equipment, electric motors, and batteries. Installs and repairs electrical and electronic equipment used aboard pressure vessels for human occupancy. Assemble or modify elecromechanical equipment or devices, such as servomechanisms, gyros, dynamometers, magnetic drums, tape drives, brakes, control linkage, actuators, and appliances. Relate to systems designed utilizing greater that normal pressures. Maintains wiring fixtures, and equipment for all electrical services aboard vessels following blue prints and wiring diagrams; supply circuits to radio, radar, sonar and other electronic equipment. Test electrical characteristics, such wiring diagrams; supply circuits to radio, ratdar, sonarcand other electronic equipment. Test electrical characteristics, such as voltage, resistance, and phase angle, in circuits, using voltmeters and other equipment. Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install component, units, sub-assemblies, wiring or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical and electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.

Qualification Requirements: Applicant is able to use logic and reasoning to identify stengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions to approach the problem. Applicant is able to work on a flexible working schedule day and night shift, weekends, and holidays. Applicants will be required to submit to pre-employment drug testing and enter into a ongoing drug testing program. Employer paid drug testing will applied equally to US workers and CW-1 Workers. Applicants must be physically able to perform efficiently the duties of the position at sea and ashore.
