Job Title: | Livestock Caretaker |
Job Duties: | Attend to livestock farm or ranch that may include cattle, swine, goats, horses and other equines. Attend to animals produced for animal products, such as meat, skins, and milk. Duties may include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, breeding and loading animals. Maintain records on animals; examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate. Groom, clip, trim, and/or castrate animal; spray livestock with disinfectants and insecticides, dip or bathe animals; clean and maintain animal housing areas. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses and/or pumps. Order food for animals and arrange for its delivery. Performs duties related to livestock reproduction, such as breeding animals within appropriate time frames, performing artificial inseminations and helping with animal births. Gather grass & pig food. Select, load and transport livestock to slaughter house facility. Assists during slaughter operation. Do other related duties as assign from time to time |

Qualification Requirements: | High School graduate. Minimum of 6-month work related experience. Must be an expert in taking care of livestock such as feeding, washing, administer vaccines/medicines, & cattle, foals & piglets. Know how to nurse newborn piglets & calves. Honest, thrust worthy and hard working. Willing to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends. Can work with less supervision and must be able to meet work deadlines. Must be physically fit to be able to handle all kinds of strenuous work. Must be able to secure CNMI driver license. Health certificate and original Police Clearance required. |
