Job Duties: | Assists clients by phone, and in person with case inquiries. Receive and review documents to ensure completeness for filing and recording. Prepare and process legal documents. Enter and updates case information in the case management system. Scan and indexes documents in the case management system. Maintains, store and ensures accessibility of case files. Assists clients requesting for review, and/or obtain copies of case file. Ensures the confidentiality of court records in accordance with the Code of CNMI and the rules of the Supreme Court. Knowledge of standard administrative procedures, practices and equipment. Knowledge of common legal terminology, documents and procedures. Ability of comprehend applicable CNMI sections and laws. Ability to process a considerable volume of record work in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to perform data entry, scanning, indexing and retrieval with computer information system. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals. Draft and prepare all kinds of legal pleadings, affidavits and other legal documents. Gather and analyze research data and documents. Investigate facts and law of cases and research pertinent sources. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must have the ability to do multi-tasking and prioritize. Thinking Ahead. Ability to communicate well with lawyers, clients, court personnel. Knowledge of law, legal codes, court procedure, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process. Knowledgeable to draft pleadings, documents, briefs and all other legal documents. Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Ability to use database, spreadsheets, e-filing, and other software. Organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and work well with different kinds of people. |
