Job Title: Commis Chef
Job Duties: •Prepare food in accordance with portion and quality standards specified in recipes. •Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures. •Produces food of high quality according to standard recipes. •Assist with the preparation, presentation, decoration, and storage of the following: oMeat dishes, oMeat marinades, oCarve meats, oFish and shell fish, oSauces for fish and shell fish, oGarnishing techniques and methods of service for fish, pastry, cakes, and yeast goods, oDesserts •Chinese Regional Dishes: oGuangdong dishes, oSichuan Dishes, oBeijing Dishes, oShanghai Dishes. •Thai Regional Dishes: oSalads, oDressings, oStocks and Soups, oCurries. •Japanese Dishes: oGohanmono, oStocks and soups, oSashimi, oTempura, oNabemono, oNoodles. •Vietnamese Dishes: oAppetizers and their dressings, oStocks and Soups, oChicken, meat, seafood, and vegetables dishes. •Asian Dishes: oLiquid and solid desserts, oSteamed sweet rice based desserts, oBaked desserts. •Dim Sum: oSweet Savory dim sum, oDeep fried dim sum. •Buffet Food Preparation and Storage. •Communicates politely and display courtesy to guest and internal customers. •Provides direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Cooks, Kitchen Attendants, and Stewards. •Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information. •Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships. •Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled. •Attends and participates in training session as scheduled. •Prepares in advance food and beverage, material and equipment needed for the service cleans and re-sets his/her working area. •Implements the casino and department regulations, policies and procedures, including but not limited to: House Rules and Regulations, Health and Safety, Grooming, Quality, Hygiene and Cleanliness. Comments: (1) EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position. (2) WORK HOURS Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment forty (40) hours per week. There are three rotating shifts per day: (A) Day Shift will be from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. (B) Swing Shift will be from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (C) Night Shift will be from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Employee hired under this announcement will be rotated through each of the three shifts. (3)THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. (5)FIRST WORK WEEK REIMBURSEMENT Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). (6) PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Furthermore, the employer will supply workers at no charge all safety clothing and equipment and will require all workers to wear such clothing and equipment always during work. (7) HOUSING The employer will provide optional housing at $25.00 per week, during the employment. (8)The employees will be provided one (1) duty meal per day at no expense for the duration of the employment.
