Job Title: | Truck Maintenance and Diesel Engine Specialist |
Job Duties: | Test engines to determine malfunctions, using instruments such as vacuum gauge, compression gauge and exhaust gas analyzer. Installs, adjusts, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment and parts in power generating station. Dismantles and repairs auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and pipe systems Assists in conducting acceptance and performance tests on new or existing equipment. May install wiring between machinery, switchboards, and control panels. May be designated according to type of plant in which maintenance is performed. Starts stand-by generator when load nears capacity of operating generator. May direct and coordinate operation maintenance and repair activities of field installation of equipment and system. Other related duties that maybe assigned from time to time. Follow all safety measures and procedures while conducting any and all of the above evolutions. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating conditions. Use hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, or precision instruments, as well as power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding equipment, or jacks and hoists. Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment. Examine and adjust protective guards, loose blots, and specified safety devices. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment-Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principals. Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. |

Qualification Requirements: | Most occupations in this zone require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience and a minimum of 3-5 years experience as internal combustion Engine Mechanic.
