Job Title: Housekeeping Team Leader
Job Duties: ssists the Assistant Manager and Housekeeping Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments, ensuring that all the policies and procedures outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual are strictly adhered to. Reads the logbook and email before starting of shift to ensure any concerns from other departments are addressed in a timely manner. Logs events in Housekeeping Logbook and follows-up on information reported by other Team Leaders and Outsource Supervisors. Prepares Daily Status Board and Housekeeping Attendant Assignment papers. Makes requisition twice weekly for amenities / supplies of guestrooms, public areas and laundry. Raises job order to Engineering department for repair and maintenance work of guestrooms, guestroom floors, public areas and laundry. Ensures the Lost & Found Policies and Procedures are adhered to by all. Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate. Assists in making sure that all Touches of Hyatt and the Rooms Top 20 have been implemented. Responds to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented. Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Ensures that all employees to include the Outsource Supervisors and their employees work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”. Works with the Assistant Manager to ensure business needs and other key performance indicators are identified and addressed. Maximises employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests. Assists the Assistant Manager / Housekeeping Manager to ensure that the department operates with the lowest possible cost structure while also delivering on the brand promise to the guest, proactively managing costs based on key performance indicators. Ensures that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information. Ensures Housekeeping/Laundry Attendants deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times, also provide excellent service to internal customers as appropriate. Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. Provides a courteous and professional service at all times. Ensures the punctuality and appearance of all Housekeeping/Laundry Attendants, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards. Maximises the effectiveness of employees by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring. Provides feedback to Assistant Manager / Housekeeping Manager for Performance Development Discussions with Housekeeping Attendants, to support them in their professional development goals. Supports Departmental Trainers through ongoing feedback and assistance at monthly meetings. Develops the skills and effectiveness of all Housekeeping/Laundry Attendants through the appropriate training. Encourages Housekeeping Attendants to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognising them for their contribution to the success of the operation. Understands and strictly adheres to Rules and Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.

Qualification Requirements: Minimum Graduation from high school/GED with 12 months experience for the job opportunity.
