Job Title: | Cleaner and Service Worker |
Job Duties: | Cleans school buildings and classrooms by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Gathers and empties trash or waste materials, including recyclables. Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, walls, or mirrors. Notifies principal of school of the need for major repairs or additions to buildings and classrooms. Mixes water and/or cleaning supplies, detergents, or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Dusts furniture, walls, desks, equipment, fixtures, and other classroom or teaching tools. Moves heavy furniture, equipment, school supplies, or other classroom or teaching tools, either manually or using hand trucks. Mows or trim lawns or shrubbery or other vegetation, using mowers, bush cutters, machetes or other hand or power trimmers, and clear debris off from grounds. Makes adjustments or minor repairs to cooling, ventilating, plumbing, or electrical systems of school. Sprays insecticides, fumigants or other chemical treatments to treat and/or prevent ant, insect, pest, or rodent |

Qualification Requirements: | Must have at least 6 months of continued work experience as a janitor or commercial cleaner. Must have no criminal history and be able to provide current police and court clearance, will be applied equally to U.S. workers and CW-1 workers. Must be able to obtain required CNMI health and other necessary certificates and permits. Must have valid CNMI driver's license. Must have reliable transportation to and from home / work. Must have high school diploma/GED |

Comments: | (1) EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION: This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position. (2) WORK HOURS: Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment forty (40) hours per week. Employees hired must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as required. (3) THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE. Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE. The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. (5) PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. (6) RECRUITMENT INFORMATION.
