Job Duties: Prepare and cook food in deli/restaurant establishment with a limited menu. Duties of the cooks are limited to preparation of a few basic items and normally involve operating large-volume single-purpose cooking equipment. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils. Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles. Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity. Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking. Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously. Plans menu for each day to be served to customers ensuring kitchen supply is enough. Keep kitchen in neat and orderly fashion. Does other related duties as assigned from time to time.
High School Diploma Required? No
Qualification Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions. Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation. Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes. Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc. Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment. Must pass cooking skill test during interview process. Must be able to work weekends and holidays on short notice.

Comments: The place of employment will be at Garapan, Saipan. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside within the area of the place of employment to perform the services or labor as advertised. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the rate indicated on the JVA The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law, as well as other deductions for selected employee benefits, including health, vision, dental, life insurance and 401 (K) subject to each company’s conditions. The employer guarantees under paragraph (f)(1) to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract, as provided under Subsection 655.423(f). The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from the employee’s origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity, as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(1). Daily transportation to and from the place(s) of employment will be provided by the employer if applicable. The employer will provide without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.423(k) Board, lodging, or other facilities the employer will offer to works or tends to assist workers in securing if applicable On the job training will be provided to the worker if applicable.
