Job Title: Purchasing Senior Supervisor
Job Duties: Coordinate or perform activities associated with shipping, receiving, distribution, or transportation. Monitor inventory levels and requisition or purchase supplies as needed. Maintenance of the purchase price of supplies and materials. Ordering purchases, inspecting deliveries and returning / refunding defective items. Selecting suppliers, conducting market research and negotiating purchase terms and prices. Developing and enforcing departmental purchase request policies. Prompt distribution of purchased items to relevant Department and Teams. Supervise the work of office, administrative, or customer service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems. Resolve customer complaints or answer customers' questions regarding policies and procedures. Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes. Review records or reports pertaining to activities such as production, payroll, or shipping to verify details, monitor work activities, or evaluate performance. Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems. Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments for office or administrative staff. Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff. Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action. Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided. Research, compile, and prepare reports, manuals, correspondence, or other information required by management or governmental agencies. Implement corporate or departmental policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management. Compute figures such as balances, totals, or commissions. Coordinate activities with other supervisory personnel or with other work units or departments. Participate in the work of subordinates to facilitate productivity or to overcome difficult aspects of work. Make recommendations to management concerning such issues as staffing decisions or procedural changes. Develop or update procedures, policies, or standards. Maintain records pertaining to inventory, personnel, orders, supplies, or machine maintenance. Consult with managers or other personnel to resolve problems in areas such as equipment performance, output quality, or work schedules. Develop work schedules according to budgets and workloads. Analyze financial activities of establishments or departments and provide input into budget planning and preparation processes. Keep informed of provisions of labor-management agreements and their effects on departmental operations. Discuss work problems or grievances with union representatives. Plan for or coordinate office services, such as equipment or supply acquisition or organization, disposal of assets, relocation, parking, maintenance, or security services.

Comments: WORLD CORPORATION dba SAIPAN WORLD RESORT is looking to fill one (1) PURCHASING SENIOR SUPERVISOR position in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Work will be performed only at SAIPAN WORLD RESORT, Susupe, Beach Road, Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. This is a TEMPORARY, full-time position and we are looking to fill the job opening for employment from 10/01/2019 to 09/30/2022. Terms & Conditions of Employment: Worker will be paid no less than $12.41 per hour. The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week, depending on weather conditions. Work on weekends may be required. Hourly work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Transportation: The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite locations in Saipan. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: The employer will not provide board, lodging, or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by federal and local law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law. The employer will not provide on-the-job training.
