Job Title: Yacht Captain
Job Duties: Steer and operate vessels, using radios, depth finders, radars, lights, buoys. Dock or undock vessels, sometimes through narrow spaces, such as locks. Adjust navigation according to weather conditions. Inspect vessels to ensure efficient and safe operations of vessels and equipment and conformance to regulations. Read gauges to verify sufficient levels of hydraulic fluid, air pressure, or oxygen. Manage all of vessels maintenance required to standards. In charg as project manager during yachts shipyard periods and refits. Control, implementation, and maintenance of underwater mooring field operations for typhoon evasions plans. In charge of vessels certification and regulatory compliance, typhoon plan and weather monitoring including daily analysis and monitoring weather forecast information, establish direct communications with local authorities and USCG. In charge of safety and security including development of all Standard Operating Procedures and safety and security control measures. Development and control of environmental protection. Assist in recruiting, hiring vessels personnel. Staffing, organization, and work schedule management, including training as needed. Manage yacht services and operations. Manage engineers and crew and internal operations staff, dock master, security, and staff. Schedule operational audits following flags protocols and USCG regulations. Troubleshoot and coordinate operations issues with dockmasters, engineers, field staff, company associates and vessel operators. Prepare monthly maintenance reports- records, time schedules. Will be relief engineer available to cover engineers at any time if needed.

Qualification Requirements: Preferably at least 500 tons valid master mariner license. Must have associate degree in Nautical Science or related field. Must have at least 2 years of experience as yacht captain. With STCW and AEC. Must have Jet Drive Engine Experience. Well knowledge on vessels engineering and other systems. Have at least 2 years of fleet captain experience. Shipyard experience. Fluency in Microsoft Office. Ability to be on call. Strategic thinker with ability to work independently. Energetic, creative, and detail oriented project management skills. Clear and concise written and verbal communications skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities. Familiar with Northwester Pacific Ocean navigation area.

Comments: Phoenix Services Inc. is looking to fill one (1) Yacht Captain position in Saipan, CNMI. This is a Temporary, Full-time position. Work will be performed at Lower Base, Saipan, CNMI. Employment starts from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020. Rate offered is $11.78 to $45.00 per hour. Overtime will be paid at a rate of 1.5 times base hourly rate. Work schedule is from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. All tools, supplies and equipment required for the job will be provided by the employer. Upon completion of the work contract, the employer will provide reasonable costs of return transportation to the place of origin except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will provide daily packed breakfast and lunch and housing/on board. Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of the total employment period. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid biweekly by check. Federal taxes, local taxes will be deducted from the worker’s paycheck.
