Job Title: Wireless Inventory Assistant (Temporary up to a Year)
Job Duties: Job Summary: The Wireless Inventory Assistant, under the guidance and direct supervision of the Wireless Inventory Officer, maintains the operational inventory and physical control of wireless telephones, working with the Supply and Transportation Section to ensure adequate supplies of telephones are available for issuance by Customer Service, Sales and Marketing. The Employee ensures that telephone units are programmed and ready for sale and activation; maintains an electronic inventory of new and refurbished units on hand and prepares a daily transaction report. The Wireless Inventory Assistant may supervise interns and temporary or lower-level staff, as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities: The Employee will: 1. Know and uphold the established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, relevant provisions of the union agreement, IT&E and Department objectives, quality assurance and safety programs and standards. 2. Coordinate with Customer Service, Sales and Marketing Departments to determine numbers and types of telephone units needed in the operational inventory for projected needs. 3. Coordinate with Supply and Transportation Section (S&T) for the delivery of the required numbers and types of telephones. 4. Rescan product codes of all telephone units received from S&T to confirm receipt and update of operational inventory. 5. Maintain inventory of cell phones, accessories, wireless air cards and SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) cards and issue product items to Customer Service, Sales, Marketing and authorized subcontract distributors upon receipt of purchase receipt, sales orders and other appropriate documentation. 6. Issue needed product items to Rota, Tinian and Guam offices. 7. Assist Customer Service and Sales Department representatives in explaining capabilities of telephone units to customers. 8. Receive all defective telephone units from Saipan, Rota, Tinian and Guam, provide replacement units, as necessary, and ship defective units to vendors for repair or replacement. 9. Submit month-end defective report, highlighting and accounting for each unit in the location. 10. Receive repaired and replacement units back from vendors; scan all units into receiving report and identifying the units received with the defective report; repackage all units; submit receiving report to the Inventory Coordinator so that repaired/replacement units can be transferred from defective location to good stock. 11. Maintain the web-based inventory and update it to show issuances, returns, changes to prices or errors; coordinate with the system administrator regarding errors or problems with the inventory program. 12. Arrange and maintain the telephone display in the Customer Service showroom. 13. Keep all staff involved in the sales and marketing of wireless products up-to-date regarding any new products, price changes or other related-information through e-mail messages. 14. Prepare a daily report showing all inventory transactions for the day. 15. Upload phone graphics to update IT&E cellular website. 16. Supervise assigned staff in the accomplishment of the duties and responsibilities of this position. 17. Cross-train other staff in various aspects of this position to prepare them to fill in as needed and for possible succession. 18. Assist other staff and functional areas in their areas of responsibility, as needed. 19. Assign prepaid and postpaid number for MIFI Aircards. Import to IDI Resource Management for activation. 20. Receive prepaid SIM cards and assign prepaid GSM numbers then format to .csv file then import to IDI prepaid Resource Management for activation. 21. Receive postpaid blank sim and or postpaid SIM and format to .csv then import to IDI postpaid Resource Management. 22. Double check all units if processed and billed accordingly in IDI Resource management and IDI CSR. 23. Ensure loaner units are all accounted for. 24. Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned or required.
