Job Title: LANDSCAPING AND GROUNDSKEEPING WORKER
Job Duties: Gather and remove litter; dispose of trash or waste materials; clean facilities or sites; Use hand tools, su ch as shovels, rakes, pruning paws, saws, hedge or bush trimmers, or axes. Operate vehicles or powered equip ment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning s aws; Operate grounds maintenance equipment, drive trucks or other vehicles to or at work sites; maintain equ ipment or systems to ensure proper functioning; water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler syst ems, hoses, or watering cans; use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to preven t waste; maintain irrigation systems; mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrub, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders; prepare chemicals for work applicatio n; treat greenery or surfaces with protective substances; provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, par king lots, fountains, platers, burial sites, or other grounds features; plan or cultivate lawns, turf or gar dens; follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to law sod, sow gross, or plant flowers or folia ge; evaluate report or designs to determine work needs; prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears , pruners, or chain saw; care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatc h, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls; cultivate lawns, turf, or gardens, trim or pic k flowers and clean flower beds; attach wires from planted trees to support stakes; install equipment to pro tect or support trees; rake mulch and compose leaves.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. There are 3 job openings the employer intends to fill. The employee will work from Monday to Friday. 40 hour per week, 8 hours per day. The place of employment will be at FLAME TREE ROAD, Saipan. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside in Saipan to perform the services or labor as advertised. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the rate indicated on the JVA. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law. The employer guarantees under paragraph (f)(1) to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract, as provided under Subsection 655.423(f). The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from the employee’s origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity, as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(1). The employer will provide without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.423(k).
