Job Duties: | DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be well informed primarily about the CNMI market trends, Guam and Micronesia, identify shifts in the marketplace, and identify valuable emerging markets within the region; Manages the overall daily operations/management of CNMI operations to include Sales, HR and Operations Management; including compliance with local labor laws; monitoring workflow efficiencies, maintaining strong employee performance, controlling costs, providing training and direction to all front-line staff to provide excellent customer service; Develops and implements strategic marketing plans for the organization in a regional level, and stays abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjust plans accordingly; Periodic travel and/or remotely manage the marketing division of the company which includes the Guam, CNMI, Palau and Federated States of Micronesia; Researches competitor pricing and develops pricing policies and recommends appropriate sales strategies to maximize profit potential for the organization; Recommends strategies to integrate into local regional marketing plans, and to evaluate productiveness and marketing initiatives ROI; Maintain and provide strength to company’s brand position in assigned regional marketing areas; Head development and execution process of ethnic and other main focused marketing plans to reach vital customer segments; Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace; Seeking out major clients, maintains and expands customer base, and forming working relationships with the premier vendors within the industry; Serving as a business representative at Chamber of Commerce & Visitor’s Bureau meetings, major industry events, conferences, travel fairs, and expositions; Forming sales strategies to keep the company competitive and innovative, as well as developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term; Managing and providing training for front line sales staff in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate goals; Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals; Responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring; enforcing company policies and procedures; Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing quality and customer-service standards; Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the organization; Strong working knowledge of local employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common-sense approach; able to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach; Ability to recognize the value and responsibility of working in a team, actively supports and develops team members, quick to identify and problem solve any issues. |
