Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. 1.Take charge of the overhaul and upkeep of all the electrical equipment including generators, motors, switch-boards, electrical meters, electric lines, lights, electric heaters, electrical auto system, wired telephones, and auto alarm etc; 2. Check up the condition, insulation and resistance at regular intervals, ensure all the electrical equipment being always in an efficacious state. 3. Make up schemes for the upkeep of electrical equipment, set down and keep records of electrical measurement. 4. Examine all safety lights, alarms and emergency generator at regular intervals and maintain , charge and discharge accumulators as well. 5. Keep all technical data relative to the ship's electrical equipment. 6. Be responsible for the requisition for electrical materials, spares, tools and meters; and be also responsible for their keeping and writing off. 7.Examine all the electrical equipment prior to the ferry's sailing and arriving the port. 8. Be responsible for the examination of the condition of all electrical appliances on completion of repair by a workshop; and take every measure to prevent the electrical equipment from moisture during the ship is under repair. 9. Keep the ship's workshop, store-room and the surroundings about the main switch-board always clean and tidy. |

Qualification Requirements: | Require training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree. Two years work-related skill, knowledge, or experience of the facility is required. High school diploma or equivalent. Considerable knowledge of operation and maintenance of all the electrical equipment of the ferry; knowledge of examination of the condition of all electrical appliances and repairs; knowledge of marine motors, generators, electrical meters, electrical lines, lights etc; Certificate of proficiency to operate or navigate type of passenger carrying vessel in accordance with STCW such as seafarer's passport, seaman book or other certificates of completion. The safety training specified in STCW Code. MUST fit for duty. |

Comments: | (1) EMPLOYMENT DURATION & LOCATION This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position on shift basis. Work will be performed in the roll on and roll off passenger ship Sand Diamond between Tinian and Saipan without travel requirements. (2) WORK HOURS Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment forty (40) hours per week. Work hours start from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday to Sunday. (3)THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or w here the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except w here the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or w here the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. (5) ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING AVAILABLE Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned.
