Job Title: Maintenance & Repair Workers, General
Job Duties: 1. Inspect, operate or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions such as water pump, water heater, swimming pool pump, generator and others. 2. Dismantle machines, equipment or device to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, hand tools or power tools. 3. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions on water pump, water heaters, swimming pool pumps, laundry machines, dryers and other appliances. 4. Repair machines, equipment or structures such as roofs, walls and ceilings using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. 5. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, as needed. 6. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery or equipment. 7. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. 8. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals or schematic diagrams. 9. Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties. 10. Orders parts and supplies required to do repairs and replacements. 11. Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors or other parts of building structure. 12. Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metals. 13. Install equipment to improve the energy or operational efficiency of residential buildings. 14. Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixture or tools. 15. Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions or floor. 16. Align and balance new equipment after installation. 17. Estimate costs to repair machinery, equipment or building structures. 18. Maintain records of job performed.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent. 6 months training as Electrical or Electronic Technician or Mechanic. 2 years experience as building repairer-technician. Must be experienced in the field of building electrical wiring. Must be knowledgeable on electrical/electronic tools and materials.Must be able to read blue prints and building plans, can prepare sketches required for installations or repairs. Must be physically fit to lift/carry 50 lbs and above. Must be able to stand, squat and sit for long periods of time. Can work in confined or open spaces exposed to extreme heat, cold, dirt or noise. Can speak read and write English well. Can divide, subtract, add and multiply. Patient to tenants.

Required tools, supplies and Equipment to be provided: TOOLS will be provided by Employer without cost or charge to Employee. THREE FOURTHS GUARANTEE: The Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. INBOUND TRANSPORTATION and subsistence costs from point of origin will be paid by Employer, if the the Employee will complete 50 percent of the work contract. OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION and subsistence costs will be paid by Employer, if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract. See: US Labor ETA 20CFR 655.423 (j)(1)
